Key information about the home learning activities
Weekly home learning
Each Friday Key Stage 1 and 2 children will receive weekly spellings, times table/number bonds activities. These activities will be stuck in your child’s home learning book and will need to be completed at home. Reception children will receive home learning activities linked to their current learning. Please return this book with the completed activities on a Thursday along with your child’s reading book and reading record. We also expect all children to read five times at home, with an adult.
'Copies of these are also available online here - Home Learning'
Half-termly projects
Each half term there will be a whole school creative project to complete. Information about this project will be stuck in your child’s home learning book at the beginning of each half term and should be brought in during the final week of each half term to share.

The ‘Being Brilliant at Briar Hill’ activities
The ‘Being Brilliant at Briar Hill’ is a personal development project for this academic year. This is stuck on the first page of your child’s home learning book. There are 15 activities for you to try and you should aim to complete two or three each half-term. Lots of these activities are taken from ‘50 things to do before your 11 and ¾’ and the DFE Activity Passport.  Please use your home learning book to record your experiences through writing, drawing, photographs or any other creative way you can share your learning. Once completed, you should reflect on how you achieved it, who supported you and how it made you feel. All the activities must be supervised and supported by an adult.
