Welcome back!

What a great start we have made to the new school year. Thank you for ensuring that your children have arrived at school promptly and smartly this week.

Some updates on developments over the summer holiday period.

I am sure that your child will tell you that we have had lots of developments over the holiday period.

To begin with we welcome new staff- Miss Warren and Miss De-Lara have joined the Key stage 1 team and Miss Maciejewska has joined the year 3 team.

Building developments.

Throughout the whole school we have been lucky enough to improve the toilets facilities and now every year group has brand new toilets.

The library has been updated and will soon be completed.

The building work is now finally complete and the mobile classroom has been removed.

Other news.

I am hoping that you have found the school calendar useful in order to plan ahead, we will as we go through the year be adding additional dates to the diary. We plan for harvest festival to take place on 6th October and will be writing to you nearer the time to ask for donations.

Clubs will begin on Monday 15th September 2014, we have had an amazing response to these and look forward to seeing these develop further over the school year. We are also pleased to announce the new wrap around care service both before and after school.

Attendance.

We have had a positive start to the school year with attendance but cannot yet report on this as the reception children have not fully started yet. Please can I remind parents and carers that the school gates open at 8.45am and that registration is at 8.55am, the school day finishes at 3.15pm.
