Food

We hope that parents will support the School Meals Service, Chartwells, whenever possible because we strongly believe in the social benefits of eating together in a ‘family’ atmosphere.

The cost of a school meal and payment details are stated on the school information sheet available on request. Families receiving Income Support may be eligible for free meals and confidential information is available from the school office.

Nourish provide nutritionally balanced, delicious meals cooked in school. Menus are sent home in advance and provide a vegetarian option. Meals can be booked weekly or daily.

Packed lunches

Children who bring in packed lunches are encouraged to bring healthy food, wherever possible. As a school, we actively encourage our children to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Children in KS1 receive a free piece of fruit through the School’s National Fruit and Veg Scheme. Sweets are not allowed. Children are encouraged to drink water freely throughout the day. Fizzy drinks are not allowed in school at all and fruit drinks are not allowed outside the lunch box. Milk is provided free of charge to children under five. Milk is delivered to school and stored in a fridge to ensure the children enjoy a cool drink at break time.
